Wanaka - Vacancy

Start date: 18-Mar-2017        City:
Dental Therapist-Wanaka

Community Oral Health Service

* Full-time, permanent position

….A Clinic with a View

If you are considering a change in environment, then this would have to be it! Located in the lovely Wanaka right next to the Wanaka Primary School with amazing mountain views we have a great opportunity for you, as a Dental Therapist, to work as part of our Community Oral Health Service.

Your work life balance is relaxed and on the weekends you have an array of outdoor and recreational pursuits such as skiing, tramping or boating out on the lake to mention a few.

You will work alongside one of our enthusiastic Dental Assistants as part of a wider team, committed to delivering quality health services.

You’ll be responsible for maintaining the Oral Health of children in our clinics, educating children and their families on Oral Health and the prevention of Oral Health disease. You’ll recognise, diagnose and treat oral abnormalities and disease and where appropriate refer children for further treatment.

To be considered for one of these roles you must be registered with the Dental Council of New Zealand as a Dental Therapist and hold a current Annual Practising Certificate. You’ll also have a full, clean NZ Driver’s Licence.

You will need to have the flexibility to be able to cover rostered evening shifts. You will also need to be able to work in other clinics throughout the District; on occasion this may see you staying away overnight.

Closing Date: Sunday, 2 April 2017
